The arrested human rights activist Idrisov stops a dry hunger strike

The St. Petersburg human rights activist Dinar Idrisov, who holds a dry hunger strike under administrative arrest in a special receiver for the 10th day, announced that he had stopped the action from 22 hours of Sunday. The activist’s message is placed on his FB page.

Idrisov explained that he would go into a regular hunger strike and begin to drink water, but continue to refrain from food.

"He made such a decision for the sake of the family, for the sake of my clients and for the sake of our future common victories," the publication says.

The requirements of the dry hunger strike of Idrisov were the resignation of the head of the St. Petersburg head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Sergey Umnov, his deputy chief of police Konstantin Vlasov, the deputy chief of the police for the protection of public order, Viktor Podkolzin and the head of the department for the execution of administrative legislation Yevgeny Fedorenko. Meanwhile, on June 19, the judge of the St. Petersburg City Court Julia Rusanova confirmed the decision to arrest Idrisov , rejecting the appealed appeal.
