SpaceX first launched two rockets with satellites in two days in her history

The American SpaceX Corporation Ilona Mask on the night of June 26 successfully brought 10 telecommunication satellites Iridium NEXT into space using the Falcon 9 launch vehicle. The Iridium Communications spacecraft safely entered orbit 57 minutes after launch. This launch has become the second for SpaceX in the last 48 hours: the corporation achieved this result for the first time in its history.

TASS reports that, despite the adverse weather, SpaceX also managed to return the first stage of Falcon 9 - she landed on a remotely controlled platform in the Pacific Ocean. The upper step of the carrier reached the calculated height in the tenth minute of the flight.

The head of SpaceX, Ilon Musk, said that new rudders were used in the rocket, which "worked even better than expected." “They should cope with an indefinite number of flights without additional maintenance,” the head of the corporation expressed confidence.

The peculiarity of these rudders is that each of them is cast from a whole piece of titanium that can withstand heating without a protective shell when re -entering the dense layers of the atmosphere.

It should be noted that Iridium Next satellites belong to the international mobile telephone operator, who in partnership with the Franco-Italian Thales Alenia Space set the task of collecting and experiencing 81 satellites. The launches of at least 75 of these devices were entrusted with SpaceX.

The previous launch of the Falcon 9 launch vehicle with a satellite on board took place on Friday, June 23. As a result of the launch in orbit, the Bulgarian geostationary communication satellite Bulgariasat-1 appeared.

Thus, the total number of SpaceX launches this year reached nine, while over the past year Ilona Corporation Mask made only eight launches.
