The Investigative Committee has completed an investigation into another person involved in the “March 26 Case”

The Investigative Committee has completed an investigation into Dmitry Krepkin, a defendant in the March 26 Case. This was reported by the Moskva agency with reference to Krepkin's lawyer Ilnur Sharapov. Krepkin is accused of using violence against a policeman (part 1 of article 318 of the Criminal Code) during an anti-corruption rally in Moscow on March 26.

“The investigation is over, we are studying the materials of the case,” Sharapov told the agency.

According to investigators, Krepkin hit the OMON fighter Zvonarev on the leg. The defendant himself and his lawyer, Ilnur Sharapov, insist that Krepkin's blow was not on the leg, but on the police baton. According to the lawyer, during a Moscow anti-corruption rally, Krepkin tried to stand up for a man who was seized by the police for just standing there.

The injured policeman did not apply for medical help and did not write a report on the discovery of signs of a crime. At the same time, in his testimony, the riot policeman Zvonarev claims that he allegedly experienced “severe physical pain” from the blow.

Dmitry Krepkin was detained on May 14, 2017, and on May 17, the judge of the Basmanny Court of Moscow, Natalia Dudar, arrested him for two months, until July 16.

Krepkin does not admit his guilt. In addition, during the consideration of the appeal of the arrest in the Moscow City Court, he stated that he had been beaten during the detention on March 26. Doctors at the emergency room recorded he had bruises all over his body - he received at least six blows.
