Memory of colleagues and friend

The scientific and educational community of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the collective and leadership of the Siberian Federal University is deeply mourned in connection with a difficult loss-the end of the life of a major organizer of science and higher professional education, a well-deserved employee of the Higher School of the Russian Federation, a professor, academician of the International Academy of Higher School, adviser to the rector of the Siberian Federal District Sergey Podlesnoye.

Sergei Antonovich gave all his forces and knowledge to serving his native Fatherland, Science and Higher Education. Having graduated with honors, the Krasnoyarsk Polytechnic Institute, he went through all the steps of the university service staircase - from an engineer, head of the department of radio electronics to the vice -rector for educational work and the first projector of the largest Krasnoyarsk State Technical University in Siberia.

The most important page of his biography is the work of the KSTU rector from 1996 to 2006 his merits in strengthening the positions of Alma Mater in the educational space of our country and the world is difficult to overestimate. In difficult perestroika times, led by S. A. Podlesnoy, Technical University not only “survived”, but also continued to develop successfully, increasing the potential in all areas of his activity.

Being a well -known specialist in the field of radio electronics, a high -class professional, a talented lecturer, author of more than 220 published scientific papers, Sergey Antonovich was elected academician of the International Academy of Sciences of Higher School, Academy of Quality Academy, Academy of Informatization of Education. The international community of IGIP engineering pedagogy was awarded to him the title of “European Lecturer of Engineering Education”. He conducted great and productive social activities as the Vice-President of the Association of Engineering Education of Russia, the President of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Union of Scientific and Engineering Public Organizations, a member of the editorial board of engineering education, a member of the Presidium of the Association of Graduates of the KPI-KGTU created with its active participation.

S. A. Podlesny forever entered the history of our city and the region. As a bright gifted personality, he was distinguished by deep erudition, the breadth of views, intelligence, spiritual generosity his creative potential and versatility were also manifested in serious hobbies of classical music, theater, literature. He raised the galaxy of students and followers who successfully embody his scientific plans and develop the traditions laid down by him.

Extracting an irreplaceable loss, we express deep condolences to all the Krasnoyarsk residents, relatives and friends of S. A. Podlesnoy. The bright memory of Sergey Antonovich will forever remain in the hearts of colleagues, all who had the honor to know him personally, work with him and study with him.
