In St. Petersburg, members of the Barto duet Maria Lyubicheva and Evgeniy Kupriyanov were attacked. Lyubicheva told Mediazona about this.
According to Lyubicheva, on the evening of June 25, she and Kupriyanov came to visit a friend at house 224 on Moskovsky Avenue.
The friends climbed to the balcony of the 22nd floor of the house, which overlooks the city at night. A watchman ran onto the balcony and began to say that they were drinking alcohol and smoking and demanded to leave, although, according to Lyubicheva, they were just taking photos on their phones and did not have any alcohol with them. The watchman refused to explain why the company could not be on the balcony and threatened to call a “squad.”
“Instead, she calls a huge bully, who, without understanding, immediately begins to beat everyone and throw them into the elevator. As a result, I ended up on the floor, he pushed me into the elevator with his feet. As a result of this collision, I have bruises, a head contusion, and a broken right arm,” said Lyubicheva.
After the fight, an unknown man, who introduced himself as the “chairman of the HOA” and “representative of the center,” took them down to the first floor, but did not allow them to leave the entrance, but led them into a room “where there was no exit,” and kept them there for more than an hour and a half. The police subsequently arrived and released the musicians, as well as several of their friends.
Lyubicheva wrote a statement at the police station, as did the man who beat her. He himself explained that he was “a local resident whom the watchmen call as an assistant in such situations.” The owner of the apartment, which the singer came to visit, said that he does not work as the head of the HOA.
