RIA Novosti, citing a source in law enforcement agencies , reports that on June 27, two Hizb ut-Tahrir recruiters were detained in Moscow. According to the publication, these people joined the organization in Tajikistan.
“In Moscow, they were engaged in the dissemination of extremist ideas among Muslims,” the agency’s source said.
One of the detainees is 23 years old, the age of the second is unknown. Criminal cases were initiated against them under article 205.5 of the Criminal Code (organization and participation in the activities of a terrorist organization).
The Hizb ut-Tahrir organization, according to a number of human rights activists, has been groundlessly recognized as a terrorist organization.
