The Pskov coach in sports martial arts Mikhail Petrov left Russia due to possible persecution by the authorities. Petrov asked for political asylum in Estonia. The coach told about this by the Pskov Province.
According to Petrov, he received information from several sources that “he was interested in his activities in the department for the protection of the constitutional system of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in the Pskov Region,” after they “turned from the federal department”.
Presumably, this interest is associated with antimilitarian drawings that Petrov and his students painted small ones on the walls of the headquarters of the 76th airborne assault division on Yubileinaya Street in Pskov.
A few days after the promotion, the drawings were painted over.
“The last day I received information from various sources that came down to the general: I crossed some kind of line. As a result, I urgently had to leave the territory of the state, immediately after training, like this - with a backpack with a kimono, in shorts and a T -shirt. Presumably, the situation is served in such a way that, they say, the guys and I, along with the drawings, painted calls some extremist and so on. Nonsense, we have photos of walls. Maybe they painted later, photographed and then washed away, who knows? I just submitted documents to the department of migration for political asylum. I will not go back, ”Mikhail Petrov told the Pskov province.
The publication notes that Petrov is engaged in social and political activities, as well as that the antimilitarian action called for the world in relations between Russia and Ukraine.
