Activist Mark Halperin is placed under house arrest

In Moscow, the court placed a civilian for a month under house arrest of civil activist Mark Halperin, accused of calls for extremism. Thus, the court granted the application of the investigation.

In February, Halperin was detained and interrogated by the FSB officers. The interrogation was due to the fact that the activist in his videos allegedly called for actions aimed at violating the territorial integrity of Russia. Official accusations Halperin were brought on June 15.

Mark Halperin is known for his active participation in pickets and the so -called "opposition walks." The activist spent the last two weeks under administrative arrest for participating in an anti -corruption action in Moscow on June 12.
