Hackers attacked several Ukrainian banks

Hackers attacked several Ukrainian banks, as well as some commercial and state -owned enterprises of the country. This is stated in the official message of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

What enterprises and banks are in question is not specified. According to the NBU, as a result, banks had difficulties with customer service and banking operations.

“Now the financial sector has strengthened security measures and counteracting the hacker attacks of all participants in the financial market,” the report emphasizes.

The NBU assured that the protection of the banking sector from hackers "was organized properly, and the attempts of cyber attacks for information systems of banks will be neutralized."

As it became known later, Kyivenergo and Ukrenergo were attacked. It is reported by Interfax-Ukraine. Ukrenergo said that the attack did not affect the company's activities.

At the same time, TJournal writes that Ukrenergo networks and DTEK were infected with a new form of a sipper virus resembling Wannacry. The press service of DTEK confirmed the fact of the attack. The source of the publication said that the main office of Ukrenergo managed to turn off the network and avoid infection, but its units are completely infected.

As the interlocutor TJ said, on the afternoon of June 27, working computers began to reboot, after which a process similar to checking the hard drive started. The interlocutor TJ turned off the system, and when it turned it on again, a message appeared on the screen that all files are encrypted, and to decrypt, you need to send $ 300 in bitcoins. By 14:00 Moscow time, this wallet was empty.

TSN reports that the state "Oschadbank", as well as "New Mail", was subjected to the attack.

“Due to the massive attack of the Petya.a virus, our information systems and the New Mail Contact Center cannot temporarily serve customers,” the organization’s message quoted.

According to the agency, in addition to this, hackers attacked the media holding of the Lux shopping center.

Reuters writes that the Kiev GP “Antonov” was also subjected to the attack, which is engaged in the development, production and repair of the AN series aircraft.

The People’s Deputy of Ukraine Pavel Rosenko said that the virus infected the computers of the Ukrainian government. First Deputy Director General of the Borispol airport, Yevgeny Dikhne, said that the attack has disabled the official website of the airport and scheduled flights.

In May, 200 thousand users in 150 countries of the world became victims of the Wannacry Master-Monk, which blocked user data, requiring a ransom for unlocking.
