The judge of the Presnensky district court of Moscow Tatyana Vasyuchenko extended mathematics to Dmitry Bogatov, who was arrested in the case of calls for terrorism and the preparation of riots, the term of detention in jail for another two months - until August 31. It is reported by "Mediazona".

The 25-year-old Bogatov, a teacher of mathematics at the Moscow Financial and Legal Academy, is charged with calls to participate in protests on April 2. According to the plot of the case, on March 29, a mathematician from an account, led by Ayrat Bashirov, published on VKontakte the following message: "April 2 on Red Square. On a dick of approval. Rags, bottles, gasoline, turpentine, foam, acetone - if possible." It is claimed that the record was made from the IP address of the accused's apartment.

Meanwhile, Bogatov himself insists that at the time of the publication he was not at home, he was not at home. Lawyers Alexei Teptsov and Alexander Mordvinov, in turn, indicate that publications on behalf of Ayrat Bashirov spread from several IP addresses and only one of them corresponds to the apartment of the accused. In addition, the defense notes, this IP address belonged to the Mathematics operating on the computer’s output node of the Tor network, so any user of the anonymous network, connected to the node, could write a message.

At the same time, after the detention of Bogatov, a user who has access to the Ayrat Bashirov account took responsibility for publishing the mathematics of posts. The user said that he lives in the United States, he was not a sign of Bogatov, but he can document that he was not involved in publications.

On the night of April 6, Bogatov was detained. Mathematics was charged with part 3 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code (calls to riots), which provides for up to two years of the colony. However, on April 7, the judge of the Presnensky district court of Moscow Evgeny Naydenov refused the arrest of the detainee. He indicated that according to Part 1 of Article 108 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (detention), the arrest of suspects in cases of crimes of small gravity - that is, those for which the Criminal Code provides for no more than three years - is not allowed.

Despite this decision, the detainee was not released. Instead, Bogatov’s case was retrained by submitting mathematics to the charge under Part 1 of Article 30 - Part 1 of Article 212 (preparation for the organization of riots) and part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code (public calls for terrorism via the Internet). The maximum punishment on the first prosecution is seven and a half years of the colony, the second - seven years. On April 10, the same judge Naydenov sent Bogatov to a pre -trial detention center .

On April 25, at the consideration of an appeal in the Moscow City Court for Bogatov, the president of the organization of Veterans of Special Forces Alfa, a member of the Public Chamber Sergei Goncharov: the stepfather of the arrested Oleg Ivanishchev himself served in special forces and participated in the release of hostages in Budennovsk. However, the judge refused to release the political prisoner for guarantee.

In mid -April, the developers of Tor, as well as Linux Debian operating systems, spoke in support of Bogatov , in the creation of which the mathematician took part.

On May 26, the statement in defense of Bogatov made an American defector Edward Snowden , hiding in Russia.

On June 19, in the main building of Moscow State University , the police tried to disrupt the collection of signatures under the appeal in support of Bogatov. The appeal is addressed to Vladimir Putin and the rector of the university Viktor Sadovnich. They are asked to intervene in the investigation of the case and attract competent specialists to it. The collection of signatures has been going on since the end of May.

The police were caused by the protection of the university. The security forces demanded that the activists stop the collection of signatures, but they refused, noting that they were not doing anything illegal. As a result, the police left without presenting any complaints.
