The topic of blocking foreign Russian-language media was discussed at a closed meeting of the State Duma with the participation of FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov, which took place on June 23. This was reported to Dozhd by the head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Leonid Levin.

In addition, the senators propose to oblige Russian-language media registered abroad to disclose their sources of funding at the request of the Ministry of Justice and report on their activities in accordance with the law on foreign agents.
