A resident of the Altai Territory Svetlana Ageeva, a mother captured by the contractor Viktor Ageev, asks for assistance in the liberation of her son. It is reported by "New Gazeta".
According to Ageeva, she turned to the district and regional military registration and enlistment office, but no information about her son was reported there. In contacting the Yabloko party, Ageeva writes that her son was pleased with the contract concluded from the Ministry of Defense and did not talk about his intention to break him. “He was pleased with the new service, sent an order to assign the next military rank of corporal,” Ageeva notes. She attached a copy of order No. 866 of May 4 to the application.
As Ageeva said, her son called her about once a week from a new place of service in Bataisk. However, after May 30, the calls stopped.
The deputy of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg from Yabloko Boris Vishnevsky sent an appeal to the Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu with a request to check the situation with Ageev and "inform how it could have happened that the contract serviceman was in the territory of another state and take all the necessary measures to liberate or exchange the Russian military."
On June 24, in the area of the village of Zhelobok, the Lugansk region, Ageev was captured during the clash of the LPR reconnaissance group with fighters of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to the Ukrainian military, who resisted the commander of the group and sniper were killed, four militants were captured.
On Tuesday, the Ukrainian military reported that the murdered commander of the reconnaissance group is a personnel Russian officer, captain Alexander Shcherbak. He also acted as an instructor in the intelligence of the LPR forces.
Then the BBC called the name Ageev. As noted, the 22nd separate guards special forces of the GRU of the General Staff of Russia was stationed in Bataisk. The photographs of Ageev with the symbols of the GRU, as well as his pictures with weapons in the form without identification marks, were published earlier in social networks.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that Ageev resigned to the reserve in the summer of 2016 after military service. Information about the receipt of Ageev for military service under the contract in the military department was called "the fiction of Ukrainian propagandists."
The representative of the "People's Police" of the LPR Andrei Marochko said that Ageev was accepted for the voluntary service of the "military commissariat" of the self -proclaimed republic. "Corporal Ageev, who is currently in captivity, voluntarily joined the ranks of the People’s Police of the Lugansk People's Republic," Marochko said.
Later, a video was published from the press conference of the military leadership of the LPR and the personnel from the scene. At the press conference, it was argued that numerous bullet and knife wounds, as well as abrasions and bruises, were discovered on the bodies of the dead. It is also argued that the killed and captured were not part of the reconnaissance group, but guarded the supporting and observation point under the banner of the Luhansk region.
