
The British company Neva Aerospace introduced the project of an individual electric aircraft with vertical take -off and landing and high -speed horizontal flight. The Flying ATV was called Airquadone.
According to the company, this is a device weighing 500 kg, which can operate both in unmanned and in manned mode, transporting a person or cargo weighing up to 100 kg. The speed in flight is up to 80 km/h, the maximum flight height is up to 900 m. The charge of its battery is enough for 20-30 minutes of the flight. At the same time, the hybrid version is expected to be able to provide flight time for about 60 minutes.

To power the machine, it is planned to use a battery weighing 100 kg, from which 20 fans of different sizes will eat in flight. Four small fans will be located on the sides of the pilot and two large ones - in front and back from it. They will be fixed and provide vertical take -off and landing, reports N+1 .
When exactly it is planned to start creating Airquadone and testing of the device, Neva Aerospace has not yet specified. However, it is noted that the company is already working with US air regulators (FAA) and the EASA (EASA) to obtain Airquadone certificate Light Aircraft (small mass airships).
