"Levada Center": 81% of Russians are satisfied with Putin at the presidential post.

The activities of Vladimir Putin as the President of the Russian Federation, as a month ago, are approved by 81% of citizens, 18% dissatisfied with his work, the Levada Center website reports.

At the same time, Putin’s approval is gradually decreasing since the beginning of the year: in January, 85%were satisfied with his work. The largest percentage - 89% - sociologists recorded in June 2015.

The work of Dmitry Medvedev as the chairman of the government is approved by 44%of Russians, in January there were 53%, in June 2014 - 67%. The government’s activities are positively estimated by 48% of respondents, 51% are dissatisfied with it. The work of the State Duma, like a month ago, approve of 41% of respondents, do not approve of 57%. The work of their governors (and mayor in Moscow) for the third month in a row 53% of respondents were satisfied, 46% were not.

The respondents were also offered to name five or six politicians and public figures whom they trust. The first three were Putin (55%), Minister of Defense Sergey Shoigu (26%) and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov (21%).

The following are the leader of the LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky (12%), Medvedev (10%), the Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov (8%), the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin (5%each), Patriarch Kirill and the leader of Fair Russia Sergey Mironov (4%each).

15% of respondents do not trust any of the Russian politicians.

As for how things are going on in the country as a whole, about every second (55%) respondent believes that things as a whole are in the right direction, 30%are in the opposite opinion, 15%of the survey participants were difficult.

The survey was conducted on June 23-26 among 1600 people aged 18 years and older in 137 settlements of 48 regions of the Russian Federation. The statistical error does not exceed 3.4%.

On June 20, the American company PEW Research reported that according to the results of the survey, Putin was supported by 87% of Russians, 58% of respondents said that they were satisfied with the state of affairs in the country, 37% announced the opposite. Moreover, the only area in which the president did not receive a positive assessment of the majority is the problem of corruption: his actions to combat it are approved by 49%.
