A court in Vladimir fined a lawyer from Navalny’s headquarters 25 thousand rubles for the action on June 12

Yury Yevtukhov, a judge of the Oktyabrsky District Court of Vladimir, on June 28 fined a lawyer from the campaign headquarters of Alexei Navalny and one of the participants in the anti-corruption rally on June 12, Kirill Nikolenko, with a fine of 25,000 rubles. He was accused of organizing an uncoordinated public event under Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. This is reported by the publication "ProVladimir". In April 2015, the same judge sentenced Georgy Alburov, an employee of the Anti-Corruption Foundation, to compulsory labor for a period of 240 hours in the case of the theft of a painting by Vladimir artist Sergei Sotov, “A Bad and a Good Man.”

On June 12, the police refused to let the participants of the anti-corruption rally into Vladimir's Theater Square, which is why the townspeople, after a "small standing" on the square, went for a walk around the city. They made one of the stops at the observation deck near the Dmitrievsky Cathedral, where Nikolenko picked up a megaphone, which, according to the prosecution, automatically made this meeting a rally. However, Nikolaenko himself argued in court that he was not the organizer of the rally near the Dmitrievsky Cathedral:

“We were going to eventually go to Hyde Park, take a walk around the city, and we had to stop somewhere. The first stop was in front of the “theatre” — it was quite natural, and to some extent it was my initiative (because I was the organizer of the event on Theater Square) just to gather people and decide what to do next. We had to calm people down. As for the Dmitrievsky Cathedral, this is an intermediate point. As I understand it, the very idea to gather there arose spontaneously. Everyone walked at their own pace. It was at the Dmitrievsky Cathedral that I did not come among the first, and I did not take the floor among the first. It was not a rally, of course,” said Kirill Nikolenko.

In addition, a protocol was also drawn up at Nikolaenko on organizing an uncoordinated rally on June 12 opposite Theater Square in the park on Dvoryanskaya Street.
