The Federal Tax Service received the right to close access to services and sites that help to avoid blocking. Such a norm is contained in a joint order of Roskomnadzor, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rospotrebnadzor and the Federal Tax Service, published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

The document says that the basis for blocking can be "the availability of information and (or) programs for electronic computer machines that allow you to access the site on the Internet, the page page on the Internet, which posts prohibited information".

In relation to the Federal Tax Service, by “forbidden information”, we mean websites of the Internet casino, for the blocking of which the department is responsible. In fact, the order applies to any anonymizers and other means of bypassing locks.

According to Izvestia, the order entered into force on June 27. He replaces the old document operating since 2013.

The Federal Tax Service emphasized that they received the right to block not the anonymizers themselves and the VPN services, but the sites or pages containing information prohibited for distribution in the Russian Federation, including where such programs are contained. "

At the same time, the law on the prohibition of technologies for bypassing the site locks has not yet been adopted. On June 23, he went through the first reading in the State Duma. The document proposes to oblige the owners of anonymizers and VPN to independently limit their users access to resources from the register of prohibited, otherwise the services themselves are threatened by blocking.
