Solidarity activist detained near the court building was released from the department without a protocol

An activist of the movement "Solidarity" Mikhail Lashkevich, who was detained for a solitary picket on the morning of July 4, was released from the Basmanny police station without an administrative protocol being drawn up. Nadezhda Mityushkina, executive director of Solidarity, told OVD-Info about this.

According to her, the police admitted that Lashkevich had the right to hold a one-man picket. He was released after the conversation.

The activist was detained near the building of the Moscow District Military Court, where the trial on the murder of Boris Nemtsov is being held. During the arrest, the police referred to the restrictions imposed by the decree of President Vladimir Putin in connection with the Confederations Cup. At the same time, according to the Federal Law "On meetings, rallies, demonstrations, marches and pickets", single pickets do not require approval.
