In St. Petersburg, detainees from the 33rd police department are summoned to the Investigative Committee to give explanations. In this department, on the night of June 13, police officers sprayed pepper spray. This was reported to OVD-Info by one of the girls who was called in for a conversation.

According to her, everyone who was in the department that night is summoned to the Investigative Committee, where they take explanations about what happened that night in the department. They also ask about gas and how the police behaved.

When asked about the status of these conversations, the activist said that they are not yet being carried out as part of the investigation, but as part of a pre-investigation check.

On the night of June 13, in the police department, where there were 17 detainees at a rally against corruption, gas was sprayed in the cell where the "violent" arrested was sitting . After that, according to the testimony of the detainees, the ventilation was turned on and the gas got into the neighboring cells. People became ill, they began to suffocate. The police officers refused to provide medical assistance, saying “it will pass by itself”, but then they were transferred from the cells to the basement, where they spent the night.

After the publication of the stories of the detainees, the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region confirmed that the police had indeed used pepper spray in the 33rd police station.
