Gorodetsky promised reductions in the unification of ministries

The Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Vladimir Gorodetsky signed a decree on the merger of regional ministries of labor and social development. He explained this decision by the need to reduce the management apparatus.

“Indeed, I signed a decision on amendments to the structure of the executive authorities of the Novosibirsk region. It is envisaged to abolish two ministries: to abolish the Ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of Labor. The main task is to optimize the management system, ”said Gorodetsky on July 4.

According to the governor, the merger will help improve interaction with the Federal Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Social Development, which now “express inconvenience” because of the need to cooperate with two bodies. The head of the region also noted that not all employees of abolished ministries will go to a new place of work. “There will be: the minister, and therefore the apparatus. In what quantity will be worked out, ”said Gorodetsky.

To prepare a plan for structural changes and determine the powers of the new Ministry of Labor and Social Protection is entrusted to the deputy governor Alexander Titkov, he was given 15 days. It is known that the functions of managing the system of secondary vocational education will be transferred to the Ministry of Education. “It's too early to talk about the minister’s candidacy,” the governor added.

Now the Ministry of Labor of the region is headed by Igor Schmidt, the Ministry of Social Development is headed by Sergey Pykhtin. The latter is on sick leave since 2016. Prior to this, the prosecutor's office brought to Vladimir Gorodetsky an idea of ​​eliminating a conflict of interests. According to law enforcement officers, Pykhtin used the work of state employees in his apiary and delivered honey to state institutions. The Minister of Social Development of the region admitted that a cook from the social service worked for him, but he was on vacation. Pykhtin believes that interest in his person by the prosecutor’s office is due to the fact that “someone was found” in his place.
