The governor went on vacation on May 22 and extended it several times, the next term of 45 days expires on July 5. But whether the official will start the next day at the workplace is unknown. His press service was unable to answer this question to Taiga.info, sending a formal statement about Tuleyev's state of health. Judging by official reports, he spent almost all the time of his rest in hospitals - first in Germany, where he underwent an operation, then in Kemerovo, and now in Moscow, where his rehabilitation continues.
“Aman Tuleev will continue his rehabilitation in a specialized Moscow clinic. The governor's condition is stable and he feels well. The entire volume of rehabilitation measures planned by the Kuzbass doctors was carried out according to the schedule. According to the doctors, Aman Tuleyev showed himself to be a disciplined patient: scrupulously following all the instructions, he went through all the planned procedures, including complex and painful ones. The rehabilitation process is under the control of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and personally Minister Veronika Skvortsova, ”says the response to a request from Taiga.info sent on July 4.
It was Skvortsova who, after a consultation “via videoconference” with the participation of specialists, invited Tuleev to come to Moscow. “Now he is undergoing rehabilitation treatment in a specialized Moscow clinic, which has a full range of facilities for intensive rehabilitation therapy,” the press service explained.
Judging by the reports of the federal media, the official was taken to the capital by a special board of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. He was placed in the Central Clinical Hospital of the Office of the President. “He speaks well on the phone. I can’t say anything more,” Anton Gorelkin, State Duma deputy from Kuzbass, told RBC.
Tuleev has not been seen in public since April, prompting a flurry of speculation that leaked to the media. Many reprinted the information that the governor allegedly had already written a letter of resignation, but official representatives of the Kremlin and the regional administration denied this, wrote Taiga.info.
On June 22, the vice-governor of Kuzbass for health, Valery Tsoi, announced that Tuleev was undergoing rehabilitation at a Kemerovo clinic after spinal surgery performed in Germany. The doctors said that the patient was "rushing to work", but they were holding him back .
