
The discussion took place on July 4 in the regional government. At the meeting, they presented a sketch project of the multifunctional arena in the Kirovsky district, as well as proposals for the integrated development of territories, the financial and economic model, the principles of development of development and the design of the land for integrated development.
According to the press service of the regional government, the State Duma deputy Alexander Karelin, the chairman of the Legislative Assembly Andrei Shimkiv, the speaker of the Novosibirsk City Council Dmitry Asantsev, representatives of the regional administration and the regional center, deputies and experts, participated in the expanded meeting of the working group under the governor.
According to the submitted project, it is provided for the integrated development of the territory in 40 hectares, including the construction of the modern sports and concert arena, the arrangement of adjacent road transport infrastructure, housing construction, the opening of the Sportivnaya metro station and the organization of the leisure space on the Ob embank.
Most of the presented project presented positively, say in the government. But, taking into account the position of deputies of the City Council of Novosibirsk, who opposed the overcoating of the part of the territory of the Kirovsky district for housing construction, Vladimir Gorodetsky instructed the working group to continue work on "searching for the optimal solution of the construction of the new ice arena."
Novosibirsk became a candidate from the Russian Federation for holding the World Hockey Championship with puck on ice among youth men's teams in 2023. For this event, a new ice arena is being prepared. Its construction is now estimated at 3.5-4 billion rubles. These funds are planned to be attracted from extrabudgetary sources. Another 3 billion, previously, will cost the arrangement of engineering infrastructure and road transport communications.
