On July 1, 2017, our author and friend of our editorial office - the historian and archaeologist Leo Klein turned 90. The archaeologist, cand. East. sciences, Art. scientific. sore. Institute of History of Material Culture of the Russian Academy of Sciences Maya Kashub .
Lev Klein on his favorite city in St. Petersburg and modern archaeological science fell on a squall of monographs, failed by articles, reviews and comments on all its reasons that are of interest to it, of which there are a great many, and sprinkled with memoirs from above.
Klein hits the bell, pumping up and feeding a living research flow of domestic archaeological thought with his tirelessness.
Klein’s alarm assembled many: opponents and supporters - and calls for being indifferent. Klein is in a hurry to reach out to everyone, especially to his opponents, so that the flame of scientific disputes burn with even and stable fire. St. Petersburg does not live without floods that bring floods, and the floating Peter and Paul Fortress always returns to its honorable place: the hurricane only clears the place for new green sprouts, the concern for which Klein always lives.
There is actually a lot of Kleina, he just needs to run away from him to hell, so that, in the distance, at rest and silence, to get acquainted with everything that he was written and published, especially in the last few years.
It is difficult to be glue, how difficult it is to be just - yesterday, now and now, tomorrow.
Good health, dear Lev Samuilovich!
The editors of the TRV-hunger joins these congratulations and wishes L. S. Klein of health, new articles and books!
