The court placed under house arrest a former investigator of the Podolsk Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who shot down a 79-year-old pensioner, reports . the Investigative Committee

The former policeman was charged under Part 2 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code (violation of traffic rules by a person driving a car while intoxicated, resulting in negligence in causing grievous harm to human health). During interrogation, the suspect fully admitted his guilt.

On July 2, 2017, a 33-year-old policeman was driving a personal car from Tsentralnaya Street towards Bogorodskaya Street in the village of Polivanovo. There he hit a 79-year-old woman and fled. The pensioner received multiple injuries and was hospitalized.

On the evening of July 3, it became known that a police officer had been detained . After an internal audit, he was fired.

As the REN-TV channel reported , citing eyewitnesses, the investigator was driving a Porsche at high speed. The channel’s interlocutors claimed that he regularly “arranges high-speed races around the village.”
