The court of bankruptcy cases of England and Wales on Monday, July 3, recognized Bankrupt to Andrei Chernyakov, the former head of the Cosmos NPO, which is wanted for the theft of the Bank of Moscow Bank. According to the newspaper Kommersant , the Bank of Moscow submitted a bankruptcy of Chernyakov in mid-March this year, but then the trial was postponed, since the Meshchansky court of Moscow considered the legality of the guarantee agreement, due to which the ex-head of the NGO was about 30 billion rubles.
Recall that in 2011, Chernyakov, as president of the Cosmos NGO, received more than 11 billion rubles from the Bank of Moscow for the construction of the Alabi-Baltic tunnel in Moscow. Chernyakov personally acted as a guarantor on loans. The non -return of the money that went to the accounts of other companies became the basis for investigators of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow of a criminal case of "especially large fraud in the field of lending" (part 4 of article 159.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Andrei Chernyakov himself managed to leave for Germany in advance, where he had a residence permit. He was declared on the federal and international wanted list.
In addition, another criminal case is being investigated against Chernyakov in Russia - about the theft of 25 million rubles during the construction of the judo school. In October 2016, the defenders of the oligarch claimed that now both were suspended.
In 2015, at the request of the Bank of Moscow, the court arrested Chernyakov’s property around the world by 150 million pounds, including two jet aircraft, two Rolls-Royce cars, luxury objects, as well as accounts and real estate in different countries. In particular, in Austria and Germany, hundreds of thousands of dollars and euros were blocked on Chernyakov’s accounts. In addition, Chernyakov was forbidden to leave the territory of England and Wales.
In November last year, by the decision of the High Court of England and Wales, all the property of Andrei Chernyakov was seized .
According to Kommersant, introducing a bankruptcy court in a court, the former head of one of the largest companies in the field of transport construction asked the deputy judicial manager Mr. Harvud to reject the statement of representatives of the Bank of Moscow. "He again drew the attention of the minister of Themis to the fact that he was trying to disavow the guarantee on the loan through the court, and in addition, filed a counterclaim to the" Bank of Moscow ", in which the amount of claims exceeds the stated financial structure itself. However, the manager Garvud informed the clearly upset Mr. Chernyakov that his claim to the lender did not relate to the essence of the case under consideration, since his basis is, since it was based on his basis. The decisions of the courts of Russia and Great Britain that entered into legal force have already launched, ”the article says.
The court recognized Chernyakov bankrupt. In the coming days, a manager must be appointed, who will audit assets and organize their sale.
The Bank of VTB, which in 2011 absorbed the Bank of Moscow, expressed satisfaction about the decision of British justice. "VTB does not see from Mr. Chernyakov any desire for dialogue and actions aimed at paying off the debt. Given this, VTB will continue to defend its interests as part of the trials with Mr. Chernyakov and its structures to return the debt in full," the comment says. Representatives of Chernyakov refused to communicate with the press.
