The writer Daniil Granin died

The writer Daniil Granin died in St. Petersburg. He was 98 years old. Granin went through the war. He began to publish in the 49th. Fame of the writer was brought by his first novel "Seekers". His other work “I am going to a thunderstorm”, as well as the story “Garden of Stones” and “A month upside down” are well known to several generations of readers. In the early seventies, Granin led the Union of Writers. Then he participated in the persecution of Joseph Brodsky and voted for the exception of Alexander Solzhenitsyn from the Union.
