The Russian Ministry of Emergencies and the Russian Orthodox Church signed an agreement on cooperation, within the framework of which employees of the Ministry will teach priests, sisters of mercy and volunteers, how to help those who fell into an "extreme situation."
In addition, the agreement says that the Russian Orthodox Church will carry out the "spiritual nourishment" of employees of the Ministry of Emergencies and their families. "Particular attention will be paid to the development of spirituality and traditional moral values, a sense of patriotism and pride in the history of our country, as well as the education of a culture of interethnic communication based on religious tolerance," the ministry said in a statement.
Also in emergency zones, the work of "camping temples" can be organized.
