A riot police officer used Sambo fighting techniques against a volunteer of Navalny's headquarters who did not show his passport

Ivan Zhdanov, a lawyer with the Anti-Corruption Foundation, published a photograph of a report filed by police lieutenant M. A. Glukhovsky in connection with the use of force against Navalny’s headquarters volunteer Alexander Turovsky.

The report says that on the morning of July 6, Glukhovsky “used sambo fighting techniques against c. Turovsky Alexander Alekseevich, <...> who opposed the legitimate demands. The force was used in accordance with the law "On Police" , Glukhovskaya wrote.

According to the report on disobedience to the lawful demand of the policeman, a fragment of the photograph of which was also posted by Zhdanov, Turovsky “resolutely refused the demand of the police officers to present a passport” and “interfered with the conduct of investigative actions.”

Under what circumstances the photographs of the documents were taken, Zhdanov did not say.

Volunteer Alexander Turovsky was on duty at Navalny's Moscow headquarters on the night of July 6, when the police arrived. According to him, he was beaten, then kept for several hours in the police department. A protocol was drawn up against Turovsky on disobedience to police officers and taken to the Zamoskvoretsky court, but he became ill there, and he was taken by ambulance to the Sklifosovsky Research Institute. The doctors decided to leave him there until morning.
