Earlier, the US Permanent Representative to the UN Nikki Haley, speaking at a meeting of the Council, said that the American side intends to transfer the resolution draft in the coming days in response to the testing of the North Korean intercontinental ballistic missile to the UN Security Council. The British Permanent Representative to the UN Matthew Ryruct called on the Council of Ministers immediately start work on a new resolution.
Safronkov also spoke out against the use of military measures to solve the situation on the Korean peninsula. According to him, Russia calls for "an early restart of the dialogue to the comprehensive solution to the problems of the Korean Peninsula." He called the unacceptable “any attempts” of the forceful solution of the situation around the DPRK, and also called to take into account the “DPRK’s concern for threats of his security”.

Offer of Moscow and Beijing
