In Orenburg, a journalist was attacked at a meeting of volunteers from Navalny’s headquarters

In Orenburg, near the building of Navalny's campaign headquarters, during a meeting of volunteers, the editor-in-chief of Ekho Moskvy-Orenburg, Maxim Kournikov, was attacked, his phone was broken. This was reported on Twitter edition.

Prior to the attack, Ekho Moskvy-Orenburg reported on Twitter that at least 25 Cossacks, as well as activists from the pro-Kremlin National Liberation Movement (NOD), had come to the meeting place of Navalny’s campaign volunteers.

As Maksim Kurnikov told Mediazone, he was about to interview one of the volunteers when he was approached by Cossacks and people in civilian clothes. Then they attacked him and broke his phone. The journalist himself was not hurt.

After the attack, the police took Kournikov and one of the attackers to police station No. 3, where the journalist wrote a statement.
