
The Judge of the Solntsevo District Court of Moscow Elena Vereshchagin found guilty and amnestied two defendants in the case of the death of the head of the company Total Christophe de Margerie in 2014 in a collision of his aircraft with a snow -off machine at Vnukovo Airport: an engineer of the airport service Vladimir Ledima Ledima Martynenko. This is reported by Interfax.
The judge appointed Ledenev three and a half years in prison, and Martynenko sentenced to four years. However, in connection with amnesty, they are exempted from punishment. Ledenev and Martynenko will not have a criminal record.
The convicts fell under an amnesty in connection with the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the German-Soviet war.
In addition to Ledenev and Martynenko, the flight manager Roman Dunaev and dispatchers Nadezhda Arkhipova and Alexander Kruglov are held in the case.
On October 21, 2014, the Dassault Falcon 50 aircraft, on which the head of Total flew, crashed into Martynenko’s snow removal during take -off. Together with de Margeri, all three crew members died - also citizens of France.
In the case of the disaster, Martynenko, Kruglov and Ledenev were arrested. Vnukovo Airport Head of the Airport Roman Dunaev and dispatcher Svetlana Krivsun were under house arrest. Later, another accused became the steering manager of Arkhipov. She was under the subscription about the lower room. They were all charged with part 3 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code (violation of the safety rules in transport, which entailed by negligence of the death of two or more persons), which provides for up to seven years of the colony. Besides Martynenko, no one pleaded guilty.
In the last message of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Krivsun is not mentioned. From this it follows that the charges were removed from her.
In parallel, an investigation was investigated against the deputy director of the Moscow air force Alexander Povaliy, the head of the Moscow Center for Automated Air Movement of the State Corporation for the Organization of the Air Movement of Vladimir Gorokov, the head of the Center for the Olavkov, Gennady Yarmush and the Smart Director of the Airport Sergei Kosik. However, they were not brought charges, they continued to work.
On September 7, 2015, the Prosecutor General’s Office refused to approve the indictment and returned the case of a disaster in Vnukovo to investigate. At the same time, all the accused expired the terms of detention or house arrest established by the court. The investigation and the prosecutor's office did not submit applications to extend the preventive measure.
On September 21-23, 2015, all defendants were released due to the expiration of the deadline for detention.
