According to the latest data, during the riots in Hamburg, 213 police officers were injured in various severity. From the beginning of the protests, the police detained or arrested over 200 people. The press secretary of the association of alternative groups of the city of Krasnaya Flora condemned violence from extremists. According to him, the protests and blockade of the G20 summit are reasonable, but "senseless violence" is absolutely unacceptable.

In the middle of the day, Hamburg will host a thousands of peaceful demonstration, in which representatives of many parties, trade unions, and various religious faiths will take part. They advocate tolerance and against violence.

The riots in Hamburg began on Thursday, almost immediately after the start of the protest of Welcome to Hell, dedicated to the beginning of the summit. The police stopped the 12,000th procession to isolate about a thousand extremists of the Black Bloc, uniting various anarchist and leftist trends. This sharply exacerbated the situation. However, some time later the situation was again heated. Demonstrators who agreed with the police renew the procession again attacked law enforcement officers. Hooligans smashed the windows of shops and cars, set fire to bicycles, garbage and other items.

Only by 4 o’clock in the morning of Friday the situation normalized. However, by 8 o’clock in the morning there were reports that opponents of the G20 summit are preparing a new wave of protests and in small groups move to the city center.
