A white-sided dolphin died at the Primorsky Oceanarium

In the Primorsky Aquarium, on July 8, the common dolphin Ami died, according to the instagram of the complex.

The report says that Ami, along with other dolphins, was poisoned in October 2016; then she "managed to resuscitate", but she never fully recovered.

“Who did this and why ( poisoned the dolphins. - Approx. Meduza )? The answer to this question will be given by the investigation. It is not over yet,” the aquarium wrote.

According to Interfax, only one white-barreled dolphin, the male Smoky, remained in the aquarium.

• In October 2016, two common dolphins and a sea lion died at the Primorsky Aquarium. An employee of the organization, Roman Fadeev, wrote on Facebook that this was due to the poor performance of the life support system and low-quality fodder fish, and blamed the management for their death. Later, the court ordered him to refute some of these statements.
• Later, the aquarium said that the animals had been poisoned. In connection with the death of dolphins, a criminal case was initiated .
• The Primorsky Oceanarium was supposed to open in time for the APEC summit in 2012, but actually began to work only in September 2016. Animals began to settle even before the completion of all work. Since 2012, 15 animals have died in the aquarium.
