As the Old Russian chronicle says, the daughter of a booth from the Ryazan village of Fevronia cured the Murom Prince Peter from the terrible illness, after which they fell in love and got married. At old age, the couple accepted the monastic tonsure and bequeathed to bury them together. They died on the same day - July 8 in a new style.
