Detentions at Navalny's campaign cleanup

Three volunteers from Navalny’s headquarters were detained in St. Petersburg .

In Yekaterinburg, a lawyer from Navalny’s local headquarters was detained to give explanations, and then several other volunteers. The leaflets were confiscated. Elena Shukaeva, Marina Sotnikova and Pavel Pidzhakov, as well as a man named Sergei, were detained. After Shukaeva, Sotnikova, Pidzhakov and Kuzminykh gave explanations, they were released. Nothing is known yet about the fate of the detained Sergei. Also, according to Shukaeva, this morning police officers came to Artpodgotovka activist Elena Pariy and handed her a summons. Tomorrow Pariah must appear at the police station to talk about the “Art preparation” action on July 2.

In Novorossiysk , Daniil Gogolev was detained for distributing propaganda materials. Before he was detained, he was attacked by an unknown person who began snatching leaflets from the activist, chasing him and threatening him. The police drew up an administrative report against Gogolev under Art. 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (petty hooliganism) and was left in the department until the trial on Monday.

In Krasnodar, a volunteer from the local headquarters was detained for distributing leaflets. According to him, two dozen police officers took part in the arrest.

In Ufa , the police checked activists’ bicycles against a database of stolen bicycles.

In Volgograd , in the garage where the furniture of Navalny’s local headquarters is stored, a search is taking place in the case of the brilliant green in the picture with “Motherland” . Soon the police left. The coordinator of Navalny's headquarters, Alexei Volkov, was given a summons, according to which he must appear at the Investigative Committee for questioning.

In the city of Gatchina , Leningrad Region, activists agreed on a rally for 8 people with the opportunity to install a propaganda cube and use sound amplification equipment. However, upon arriving at the place, they saw that exactly where they planned to install the cube, there was a tractor and there was not a single policeman. When the activists began to assemble the cube, the workers, who had not done anything before, began sweeping up the sand and thereby raising dust. Then two athletic young men ran up, grabbed a propaganda banner and tried to run in different directions. The activists rushed after the man with the banner, who began to fight back, grabbing a shovel from the workers’ cart. Three activists received various injuries, one was hit on the head with a shovel. The attacker managed to throw the banner into a passing garbage collection vehicle. As a result, two activists ended up in the hospital. There they met the attackers, whom they recognized as athletes from the city's sports and recreation Arena complex. The athletes soon left the hospital.

In Kaliningrad , four volunteers from Navalny’s headquarters were detained, including one minor.

Four volunteers were detained in Irkutsk . They are charged with Art. 5.10 Code of Administrative Offenses (campaigning outside the campaign period). Also, police today seized leaflets from Navalny’s local headquarters. Later, information appeared about another detainee.

In Tyumen , police detained five people. The coordinator of Navalny's local headquarters, Alexander Kunilovsky, was detained. He was detained together with activist Pyotr Kharitonov. Everyone except Kharitonov has already been released. A protocol was drawn up against Kharitonov under Art. 19.3 (disobedience to police officers) and remain in police custody until trial. In the evening, information appeared about the arrest of Ekaterina Vedernikova, who, according to the police, was also being kept in the police department until trial.

In Izhevsk, police stop cars with activists, citing Operation Anaconda. Three people were detained. One was released after drawing up an explanatory report. Timofey Klabukov was taken to court allegedly for unpaid fines. Sergei Urban, who was also stopped in his car, continues to be detained on the road.

in Petrozavodsk was detained Blogger Alexey Trunov . The basis for the detention were leaflets about Navalny and human rights activist Yuri Dmitriev, who is now under judicial investigation.

In Bryansk, a car with propaganda materials from Navalny’s headquarters was stopped by police. 770 newspapers were seized.

10 people were detained in Voronezh . All of them have been at the police department for more than three hours.

In Kazan , an employee of Navalny’s headquarters, Andrei Boyarshinov, and a volunteer, Anatoly Malov, were detained. Both were released with an obligation to appear at the police station on Monday.
