Police officers stopped the car under the pretext of checking documents, the driver Sergei was fined for expired insurance. They also tried to interview activists about why they needed newspapers, but the volunteers refused to give explanations, using Article 51 of the Constitution, which gives them the right not to testify against themselves and their loved ones.
