Unidentified persons attacked Navalny's propaganda cube in Gatchina

In Gatchina, Leningrad Region, activists who organized a rally for 8 people as part of Navalny's campaign subbotnik were attacked. This was reported by the organizer of the rally, Anton, on the OVD-Info hotline.

According to him, they specifically applied for the rally so that there would be no problems with the installation of the campaign cube and the use of sound equipment. However, when today they came to the place where they were supposed to hold a rally, they did not see a single policeman there. Usually police officers are present at public events. Instead, the activists saw a tractor parked right on the site where they planned to install the cube. When they began to install the structure, the workers immediately started the tractor and began to sweep the sand, thereby raising dust around.

Then two athletic young people ran up to the activists, grabbed a campaign banner and tried to run in different directions. The activists rushed after the man with the banner, who began to fight back, grabbing a shovel from the workers' cart. Three activists received various injuries, one was hit on the head with a shovel.

The attacker contrived to throw the banner into a passing garbage collection truck. As a result, two activists ended up in the hospital. There they met the attackers, in whom one of the activists recognized athletes from the Arena city sports and recreation complex. The athletes soon left the hospital.
