Six activists were detained on Manezhnaya Square

Three comrades of the Nationalist Party were detained on Manezhnaya Square in Moscow, Denis Romanov, press secretary of the unregistered political organization, wrote on Facebook.

Denis Romanov Soon, three more people were detained on the square - Olga Romanova, Sergei Lemeshev and Svetlana Rzhannikova. This was reported to the OVD-Info hotline. According to caller Irina Kholodtsova, the activists were taken to a paddy wagon without explanation.

On July 9, nationalists continued the “Occupy Manezhka” campaign. The nationalists are going to be on duty in the square around the clock and “tell all interested people about the meaning and goals of the protest in Russia.”

The “Nationalist Party” was created by Dmitry Demushkin, who, as of July 2017, is serving a sentence of 2.5 years in prison under Article 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred or enmity), the verdict was handed down in April. Before this, Demushkin created the “Slavic Union” and the “Russians” association; these organizations were recognized by Russian courts as extremist and banned.

The “New Opposition” and supporters of Vyacheslav Maltsev also take part in “Occupy Manezhka”.
