In all districts of Novosibirsk, additional 4G base stations have been installed where a two-fold increase in Internet traffic consumption has been recorded over the past year: these are Betonnaya, Bogdan Khmelnitsky, Blucher, Bolshevik, Voinskaya, Vatutina, Galushchak, Grebenshchikov, Gusinobrodskoye highway, Degtyarev, Yesenin, Zhukovsky, Zarechnaya, Karl Marx Square, Kirov, Krasny Prospekt, Kuprin, Morskoy Prospekt, Mochishchenskoye Highway, Nikitin, Ordzhonikidze, Petukhov, Border, 4th Five-Year Plan, Republican, Russian, Serafimovich, Sibiryakov-Guardsmen, Station, Taiginskaya, Tambovskaya, Timakova, Knitted, Tyumen, Physical culture, Chekhov, Shaturskaya, Shamshurin and Engels.
During the year, residents of the region downloaded traffic on the MTS network commensurate with the “sharing” of more than 100 million posts with photos on social networks.
“During the year, the amount of data transmitted in our 4G networks has quadrupled, which indicates a high demand for fast mobile Internet. Therefore, we continue to build a 4G network, today it is available in 63 settlements of the region. And with the use of the LTE-1800 band, we can do it faster and provide better indoor communications. In just six months of 2017, we increased the number of LTE-1800 base stations by 1.5 times, and construction continues,” said Andrey Arendarenko, Technical Director of MTS in the Novosibirsk Region.
As told in MTS, the operator plans to provide LTE coverage of Pashino and Koltsovo villages, as well as the district centers of Zdvinsk, Dovolnoye, Kupino, Chistoozernoye, Ust-Tarka, Polovinnoye, Bagan, Kirza, Chingisy, Sharap, Maslyanino and Bolotnoye by the end of 2017 .
