Against the leader of the "artillery" Vyacheslav Maltsev, who recently fled from Russia, the case was opened under Article 280.1 of the Criminal Code (public calls for separatism). This was announced at the VK page of the nationalist party by its press secretary Denis Romanov with reference to the statement of investigators during a search in the "People’s House"-the Maltsev House near Moscow, which is simultaneously the headquarters of "artillery" and in which a number of its activists live.
At the same time, Romanov’s publication said that politics was charged with public calls for extremism. This suggested that the author of the post mixed up Article 280.1 and part 1 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code.
However, the coordinator of the Artillery Preparation Alexander Rastorguev confirmed Meduza that this is precisely about article 280.1.
At the same time, it is not known what kind of calls to separatism are meant.
A search in the house of Maltsev in the village of Lokhino, Odintsovo district of the Moscow Region, was previously held on Tuesday . It was carried out in the presence of one of the activists of the movement and lawyer. According to Romanov, visits seized "equipment and paraphernalia."
The emigration of Maltsev became known on July 4 . The politician explained his escape by the fact that he received information about the initiation of an extremist community against him (part 1 of Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code, from 6 to 10 years of colony).
Maltsev said that he was trying to go to Moldova through Belarus and Ukraine, but the State Border Service of Ukraine refused to allow him to the country, referring to the anti -Ukrainian statement made by a politician in the spring of 2014, at the beginning of Russian aggression against a neighboring country. Information about the current location of Maltsev in open sources was not published.
On Friday, Maltsev stated that the FSB was ready to surrender in exchange for the withdrawal of charges from the activist of Arty Podgotovka, Alexei Politikov, arrested in the “March 26 case”.
