
The net outflow of capital from Russia in the first six months of 2017 reached $ 14.7 billion. The Central Bank reported on July 11.
“The determining influence on the amount of pure capital export, unlike the situation earlier, was provided by the operations of the banking sector related to the receipt of funds to the accounts of resident clients at the beginning of the year, as well as the intensive repayment of external debt obligations by banks. Other sectors, in the context of restoring economic activity, on the contrary, acted as a net importers of foreign capital. ” - noted in the Central Bank.
For comparison, in the first half of last year, $ 8.6 billion was withdrawn from the country, that is, 1.7 times less. This is the specified data-before that, the regulator evaluated the outflow of capital in January-June 2016 at $ 10.9 billion.
At the same time, according to the Central Bank, in June 2017 in Russia, an influx of capital was recorded - about $ 7.7 billion. Direct investment of non -residents in the non -bank sector of the Russian economy in the first half of the year increased by 1.9 times compared to the same period of the last year - to $ 13.7 billion.
According to the forecast of the Central Bank, according to the results of 2017, the outflow of capital from Russia will be $ 19 billion. In 2018, it should slow down to $ 11 billion, and in 2019 - reach $ 14 billion. In 2016, the outflow of capital decreased almost four times compared to the previous year - to $ 15.4 billion.
