The authorities of the Kuzbass city of Taiga decided to introduce the emergency mode in the municipality due to the deterioration of the quality of water. There is a lot of manganese in it again.

“Locals are informed about the non -use of tap water for drinking purposes. For the population, stationary places are organized where containers with drinking water are installed. According to the developed schedule, water is set up for people who live far from tanks or cannot reach them. All socially significant objects are provided by filtering systems, ”the report said on the official website of the region.

Laboratory selection of water samples will be carried out daily. Experts note that the manganese discovered in water is of natural origin, Rosprirodnadzor determines the source of pollution.

According to Deputy Governor Dmitry Kudryashov, now the authorities are purchasing an economical sorbent. It has great dirtyness, increased resistance to abrasion and grinding during the filtration process, and also has unique properties of independent regeneration. The material is an effective way to remove iron and manganese from the water, the authorities say.

To provide assistance in the municipality, all the forces and means of operational services are mobilized. In addition, the Siberian regional center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry sent a helicopter with an operational group led by the deputy head of the center Alexander Kuznetsov.
