The United States has limited the use of Kaspersky state -owned programs

The US administration excluded the Kaspersky laboratory from the lists of companies from which it is allowed to purchase software for American state structures. This is reported on Wednesday by Reuters.

This decision was made after a “thorough investigation” because of the fears that Russian special services can use the Kaspersky Laboratory to gain access to American government systems and networks.

However, new restrictions do not mean a complete ban on the use of products of the Kaspersky Laboratory Government structures. It only concerns the procurement made through the administration of common services, Reuters notes.

On the eve of Bloomberg , citing a letter to Evgeny Kaspersky, the company's management reported that the laboratory was developing special technologies for the Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) and handed it over to hackers. Bloomberg writes that we are talking about software, which allows not only to protect against hacker attacks, but also to detect the whereabouts of the cybercriminals themselves. In the official response, the Kaspersky laboratory denies that the company received an official request from the FSB with a proposal to create a project to protect against DDOS attacks. The company did not and did not have unethical connections or political preferences to any government, including the Russian one, the statement said.
