A court in Tambov today, July 13, arrested a volunteer from Navalny’s local campaign headquarters, Igor Slivin, for seven days for filming during the inspection and opening of a cargo of campaign leaflets seized on July 6 . According to the police and the court, it was impossible to do this. Diana Rudakova, coordinator of Navalny's Tambov headquarters, reported this to the OVD-Info hotline.
Igor Slivin was detained yesterday, July 12, but, unfortunately, the circumstances of the detention are still unknown. The volunteer was first taken to Police Department No. 2 in the Sovetsky District, but then police officers from the Oktyabrsky District Police Department arrived and transported Slivin. In the Oktyabrsky police department, a protocol was drawn up against the volunteer under Article 19.3 (disobedience to the demand of a policeman), after which the activist was left to spend the night there.
The police officers explained to Slivin that the administrative case was allegedly caused by the events of July 7, when a volunteer in police department No. 3 was filming the inspection and opening of packs of campaign materials that had been confiscated the day before from Navalny’s headquarters at the issuance terminal of the Delovye Linii carrier.
As Diana Rudakova told OVD-Info, on July 8, during a campaign subbotnik, she was detained by the police. On Monday, June 10, the court fined her 700 rubles under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. The reason was also the photographs taken by her on July 7 during the inspection and opening of the cargo with leaflets by the police, which was seized on July 6 at the issuance terminal of the Delovye Linii carrier.
