In Samara, three volunteers from Navalny’s headquarters were detained while distributing leaflets.

In Samara, on the evening of July 12, police detained three underage volunteers from the local campaign headquarters of Alexei Navalny. During the detention, the activists were handing out propaganda leaflets to passers-by near the Sportivnaya metro station. This is reported by the publication “Idel. Realities".

Three volunteers were taken to the police department located at the Sportivnaya metro station. The detainees were immediately visited by representatives of the Department for the Prevention of Crimes among Minors.

Police officers, led by police lieutenant colonel Konstantin Kocherov, tried to draw up protocols on administrative offenses for all the detainees, carefully studying the leaflets taken from the volunteers. According to the police, the volunteers handed out propaganda leaflets with Nazi paraphernalia to passers-by.

“The sergeant was looking for an article in the Code of Administrative Offenses for a long time, on the basis of which he detained the guys. As a result, his colleague with a triumphant look thirty minutes later brought the Code of Administrative Offenses: well, here is Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (public demonstration of Nazi paraphernalia),” said Katerina Gerasimova, coordinator of the Samara headquarters of Alexei Navalny.

Then the police officers informed their parents about the detention of minors. Two hours after the arrest, one volunteer was released. The remaining two were transported to police department No. 3 of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Samara for further investigation, they were released only at 10 pm.
