Rostelecom in Siberia implements programs for saving environmental resources

The company has begun to implement a program for separate accumulation of household waste in its offices. Since June, such a project launched in Novosibirsk in the building of the Siberia macro -regional branch of Rostelecom.

Instead of garbage baskets in the offices of employees, special block containers are installed on each floor of the administrative building. Multi -colored sections are designed to collect glass, plastic, paper and unsortable waste. The cleaning company remains to transfer already sorted waste from office containers of similar colors located on a specially organized site in the courtyard of the building, from where it comes straight to the processing plant.

Due to the fact that more than 15% of the waste suitable for secondary processing do not fall on the landfill for burial, Rostelecom helps reduce the volume and growth rate of landfills, reducing the environmental load on nature. Another plus of the project to divide the waste in offices is a decrease in the costs of removal of solid waste.

The program for the rational approach to the disposal of solid household waste is planned to be in stages first in large settlements of Siberia, and then cover the rest of the cities. The implementation of this project by 80% of all Rostelecom facilities will reduce the total waste of waste sent to garbage training grounds by 40%.

Rostelecom seeks to minimize the environmental load in many areas: the company conducts regular monitoring of environmental safety of objects of its infrastructure, replaces equipment with a more modern one, implements projects aimed at energy conservation. Among such environmental innovations and the transition to free technologies both in internal and in external office work - the introduction of electronic document management (EDO).

“Currently, 88% of physical-physical subscribers and 29% of our legal entities in Siberia prefer to receive accounts in electronic form, which in our digital time is much faster and more convenient. Monthly, this is about 2.6 million accounts, ”commented by Alexey Parfenov, financial director of the Siberia MRF PJSC. - That is, thanks to electronic document management, we do not spend 5720 packs of paper per month. Over the year, we save 152.4 tons of paper, which is 2900 trees! A whole forest! If even more customers of the company are transferred to Edo, we will be able to increase the existing economy of natural resources and save even more trees. ”

Rostelecom annually invests in projects aimed at improving the state of the environment in the regions of its presence. Particular attention is paid to the rational use of natural and energy resources. All offices and buildings of the company have an automatic lighting and heat supply control system, lighting lamps for LED lighting lamps are being replaced, projects for using free -linked systems are being implemented, and the possibility of using “green energy sources” - solar panels and wind energy plants is studied.

The telecommunication company constantly implements programs for landscaping and ennoblement of territories, organizes environmental actions and events. The company’s employees in Novosibirsk have been organizing eco-fifths in the zoo for the second summer for the second summer. In June, the habit of Rostelecom removed about 6 tons of garbage in an aviary with mountain Siberian rams (Argali) and on the forest area adjacent to it.
