In Vladimir, a participant in an anti-corruption rally was arrested for comparing Putin with Hitler

Yury Yevtukhov, Judge of the Oktyabrsky District Court of Vladimir, on July 14 arrested activist Viktoria Lobova for three days, finding her guilty of publicly displaying Nazi symbols because of a Vkontakte picture comparing Putin to Hitler. This is reported by the publication "ProVladimir".

Earlier, on July 4, the same court dismissed the administrative case against Victoria Lobova, who was accused of violating the procedure for holding a public event (under part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) for participating in an anti-corruption action on June 12. Then the court considered that there was no corpus delicti in her actions.

After that, police officers found on Lobova's page on VKontakte a picture depicting Putin in a Nazi uniform with a swastika. The authors of the image compare Putin with Hitler: allegedly both "began with the Olympics", "attacked Ukraine" and "disgraced their countries to the whole world."

According to the police and the court, by posting this picture on her wall on VKontakte, Lobova violated the provisions of the law “On Perpetuating the Victory of the Soviet People in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945”, as well as “On Counteracting Extremist Activities”.

According to the Information and Analytical Center "Sova", the demonstration of Nazi symbols or paraphernalia cannot be considered illegal if it does not pursue the goal of promoting Nazism.
