On the evening of July 13, in Novocherkassk, an unknown person attacked Fyodor Laptev, a volunteer in the Rostov headquarters of Alexei Navalny. This was reported by the portal "Caucasian Knot" with reference to a representative of the headquarters.
At Navalny's headquarters, the publication was told that an unknown person was waiting for Laptev near his house, after which he struck him hard in the stomach. The assailant threatened the activist that if he “poked his head out again, he would be in trouble.” The next day, Laptev went to the hospital, but the doctors found no injuries on him. Law enforcement officials accepted the activist's statement.
On July 12, in Rostov-on-Don, the Leninsky District Court recognized three Navalny supporters as participants in an uncoordinated picket, one of them was Laptev. He was fined 20 thousand rubles under Part 5 of Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation by a participant of the procedure for holding a public event).
Laptev is an unemployed disabled person of the third group with a pension of 4,000 rubles. The relevant documents were submitted to the court, but Judge Anna Lepetyukh did not take them into account: Laptev told Open Russia that the judge rejected the request to view the video, which was filmed by the activists, and asked Urusov, an employee of the Center for Combating Extremism, leading questions.
