Rostelecom in Novosibirsk is the leader in execution of the program "Elimination of digital inequality"

The synergistic effect obtained as a result of the association of projects to eliminate digital inequality in the Novosibirsk region was highly appreciated at the Ministry of Communications and Mass Communications. “Rostelecom” in Novosibirsk for 2017 allocated additional funds for the implementation of the federal program “Elimination of digital inequality” (UDC).

In addition to the planned ones, another 995 km of communication lines will be built and 55 settlements of the region in 6 municipal regions (Bagansky, Barabinsky, Krasnozersky, Novosibirsk, Chanovsky and Novorosino Kupinsky district) will be built, the operator’s press service said on July 17.

According to the federal project, the Internet through the Wi-Fi access points in the Novosibirsk Region should be provided with 279 villages with a number of 250-500 people. Over 2 years, Rostelecom built more than 1300 km of fiber-optic communication lines (Vols) up to 102 settlements. This year, the company conducts planned work in Bolotninsky and Toguchin areas. In order to mount 27 access points, it is necessary to lay 485 km of an optical cable.

Simultaneously with the Federal Program, Rostelecom built 93 km of telecommunications up to 9 settlements according to the regional project "500+". It includes 137 small villages located near the trunk lines of the UTsn (no further than 30 km) and with a population of 500–1000. The government of the Novosibirsk Region finances the program at the expense of its budget. Broadband Internet access at speeds up to 100 Mbps, in addition to residents, social facilities are provided. Built communication lines are also used as transport channels for mobile operators.

“Thanks to the consolidation of resources for federal and regional programs, we significantly reduced the costs of building infrastructure and significantly increased the number of residents of the region who gain access to modern communication services,” said Anatoly Dyubanov, head of the department of informatization and development of telecommunication technologies of the Novosibirsk Region. -This approach only in 2016 made it possible to increase the number of entered points in the beam from 120 to 436, as well as instead of the three to build five antenno-mast structures (AMS) in Solo, Kargatsky, Kupinsky, Moshkovsky and Ust-Todarki regions. All these indicators were performed without increasing the expense of budget funds. ”

In 2017, the 500+ project was significantly expanded and covers 27 settlements of 11 municipal areas. In order to connect more than 2200 ppos points (107 of them are socially significant objects) it is planned to build more than 300 km of wax and 6 AMS. More than 125 million rubles will be allocated from the regional budget for these purposes, another 6.5 million rubles - funds of district administrations.

Rostelecom also implements its own projects to ensure the access of the population of rural regions to modern communication services, laying the links of bindings in the villages located 5-10 km from the Vols under the UTsn program. Thus, 68 km of optics were built, the Internet appeared in 28 settlements. In 2017, 79 small villages will be covered in all areas for the construction of infrastructure under the federal program.

Thanks to the synchronization of all these programs in the region, the approved schedules for the construction of communication lines in small villages were significantly ahead.

Building telecommunications at such a pace, we will be able to provide communication with all settlements of the region in which up to 1000 people live by 2021. ”
