1917 Proclamation of Finnish Self-Government
One hundred years ago, on July 18, 1917, the Parliament of Finland by law assumed supreme power in the country. However, this law was rejected by the Provisional Government of Russia, the Finnish Parliament was dissolved, and Russian troops occupied its building.
