The court in Istanbul left human rights activists in custody

The head of the Turkish branch of Amnesty International Idil Socialist Revolutionary and five more human rights activists, including experts from Germany and Sweden, will remain until the end of the investigation in custody. Such a decision was made by the court in Istanbul on July 18, Deutsche Welle reports . Four more people were released on a recognizance not to leave.

Socialist -Revolutionaries, along with a group of human rights activists, was detained on July 5 during the seminar, which took place in one of the hotels near Istanbul. Citizens of Germany and Sweden acted at the event as invited speakers.

Human rights activists are accused of relations with the “terrorist grouping”, which, according to Ankara, organized an attempt by the coup in July 2016. What kind of terrorist group is we talking about is not specified.
